With 30 years in the Bureau, 15 as Assistant Chief Executive Officer Leota Aliielua Salani brings a wealth of experience.
Leota has led numerous undertakings relating to the coordination and compilation of Statistical Activities surveys, reviews of national accounts systems as well as the development of a Composite Indicator that monitors and evaluates the performances of the various sectors of the economy.

- Conduct a 34 days Technical Assistance mission to Vanuatu to develop a framework for the compilation of Agriculture Value Added funded by the FAO – between November 2016 and March 2017
- Conduct presentations on Macro-economic Statistics developments in Samoa at PFTAC Steering Committee Meetings; Nadi Fiji 2009 and Honiara Solomon Islands March 2017, Suva Fiji March 2018
- Work with the SPC Economic Statistician under the South-South Technical Assistance, in rebasing and updating Niue’s national account estimates 2011, July 6 – 20, 2012
- Assist the PFTAC advisor in facilitating the one week attachment on national accounts compilation for Cook Islands, Kiribati and Palau in Suva, Fiji – 13 – 17 February 2012
- Host and facilitated Vanuatu Statistics Office one week attachment program on National Accounts in Samoa, November 2011
